PC has recently announced its move to a new £10 million vertically integrated headquarters, signaling a significant milestone in the company’s growth and expansion plans. The high-growth functional food business, known for its innovative nutrition-packed shakes, meals, and snacks, is set to relocate to a state-of-the-art facility named “P.Works Campus” in Liverpool City Region in May 2025.

This move represents a strategic consolidation of PC’ various operations, including food manufacturing, global logistics, digital marketing, and technology, into one purpose-built campus spanning 100,000 square feet. The new campus is designed to accommodate the company’s current growth trajectory and provide scalability for future expansion, with the goal of surpassing £100 million in revenue.

The decision to invest in a new headquarters comes on the heels of a record year for PC, with a notable 40% year-on-year increase in turnover and record profits. The company boasts a customer base of over 2 million individuals and has sold more than 300 million shakes worldwide since its inception in 2012, positioning itself as a key player in the functional food market.

Laura Keir, CEO of PC, has been recognized as one of the top 50 most ambitious leaders in the UK and views the move to the new campus as a pivotal moment in the company’s growth journey. She emphasizes the importance of the new location in fostering collaboration among different parts of the business and driving innovation and efficiency.

The P.Works Campus will bring together five separate locations in the North West into a single site, equipped with cutting-edge powder blending technology and research labs to enhance product development and manufacturing capabilities. The company’s strong commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles is reflected in its efforts to reduce food waste by half over the coming year.

Kyle Crowley, Director of Product Strategy & Innovation at PC, underscores the importance of product innovation in driving commercial growth and enhancing customer satisfaction. With plans to double the number of units delivered in the next 3-4 years, the company is focused on scaling aggressively while maintaining profitability and product quality.

In addition to manufacturing facilities, the new campus will feature a global Logistics Centre with advanced logistics capabilities to support the brand’s e-commerce channel and serve its growing customer base. Chief Supply Chain Officer Stuart Barber highlights the meticulous planning and data-driven approach behind the logistics platform, aiming to optimize efficiency and enhance customer experience.

The £10 million investment in the new headquarters marks the largest single investment by PC to date, reflecting the company’s dedication to elevating operational excellence and enhancing employee wellbeing. CEO Laura Keir emphasizes the importance of creating a high-performance culture through innovative workspace concepts and amenities to support staff wellbeing and collaboration.

YFM Equity Partners, the company backing PC, sees the move as a strategic investment in a brand that has demonstrated significant growth and potential in the functional food market. With revenues close to £50 million and doubling EBITDA year-on-year, PC is poised to secure its future in the dynamic and expanding industry of functional foods.
